A 65-year-old woman from Scarsdale reported to investigators at Police Headquarters that she was the victim of an armed robbery, prompting officers to canvas the area for a pair of suspects on Popham Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22. The two men approached her while she was walking her dogs when they flashed a handgun, causing her to shout and the two suspects to flee.
Police said the two men were described as African-Americans in their early 20s. Officers canvased the area around Popham Road, and checked near the train station in the direction they fled, but did not locate the suspects.
The armed robbery remains under investigation. Police did not announce if the two suspects stole anything during the robbery. Anyone with information regarding the armed robbery has been asked to contact detectives at the Scarsdale Police Department by calling (914) 722-1200.
